Andy Brown

Andy is a professional actor with 19 years of experience and this will be his third pantomime with Guisborough Parish Pantomime Group.

IMG_7755His panto debut with us was as ‘Crunchbones’ in Sinbad the Sailor (2011). He was ‘the King’ in Tom Thumb (2013) and this time plays the baddie ‘Citizen Chauvelin’ in The Scarlet Pumpernickel.

Andy had been part of historical re-enactments across the UK as well as  performing at Dr Who conventions and Whitby Goth weekends before ‘treading the boards’.

In the last five years he has been in 17 plays, from The Merchant Of Venice and The 39 Steps, to Hi-De-Hi and Alice in Wonderland.

Andy’s TV work includes playing a miner in Channel 4’s “The Battle Of Orgreave” about the Miners’ Strike set in 1984 and played a Dutch sailor in a  TV film about the history of Blyth. He was also in a Hovis ad back in 2010.

When it comes to films, Andy played a British soldier in the feature film, “Atonement” and had speaking parts in short fantasy films called  “Hobgoblyn” in 2011, and “Pebble Moon” in 2014.

Every October Andy scares the living daylights out of those brave enough to visit “The Screamfactory” in Kirkleatham Woods.
